The FLOWSAFE FSW Series Safe-T Whistle is designed to provide an audible signal of a system overpressure or upset condition, at a specific pressure. It is designed to operate independently or with the FLOW SAFE F80 Series Safety relief Valves.
Depending upon the pressure, without the relief valve, sound levels greater than 100 dBA, typically 105-108, can be expected at 30 feet; with the valve, approximately 90dBA.
With the safety valve, whistles can be set to go off at a predetermined pressure at the factory, or easily adjusted in the field. The whistle will signal in an intermittent mode, at approximately 300 signals per minute. This minimizes product loss while at the same time providing an audible signal.

Without the safety valve the whistle can signal in a continuous mode. Whistles are of heavy duty, high quality brass or stainless steel construction, with a 1/2″ male NPT connection.
